Looking for De Havilland DH114 Heron Type Certificate

HI, I'm looking for a copy of the UK De Havilland DH114 Heron Type Certificate for my research on the Saunders Aircraft Ltd. ST-27 aircraft.
cheers - ken k.

I've been looking on the archived UK CAA website, found nothing. Just a bunch of ADs in CAP 747. Hope you eventually find some info.

Have you tried the DH Museum in UK?

Here is the FAA copy.

If it helps, I found the the original HP Marathon Type Certificate in some Marathon-related docs at the Public Archives. It would need an in-person visit but might be worth a go. Sometimes it's not all there at the click of a mouse...

The DH114 was certified by the UK in 1950 in accordance with Airworthiness Approval Note (AAN) 01447 and the CAA may not have issued a type certificate and data sheet at this time. You can search the AAN database for DH114 on the link below. You will probably need to ask the CAA for a copy of the AAN or any other AANs you require.

Might be worth asking Mark Miller at De Havilland Support Ltd, Duxford. DHS took over all of the extant DH Type Certificates from BAE a few years ago, not sure if the DH114 was amongst them but I wouldn't be surprised if they had the paperwork even if they never actually became the Design Authority for the Heron.

The FAA TC was transferred from the aforementioned De Havilland Support to now defunct Acro Aeronautical Services in 2015, though the former might still be worth a try.
