Now that's what I call real flying

It would make a good RAAF recruiting film for pilots?
Alternatively a good low level WAC series map reading exercise or throw away the magenta line at your peril.

Very lovely. It would have been nice to have a map of the route and captions along the way.

I recognised a few of the places but it would have been better without The Last Night of the Proms in the background.

Disagree about the music. I think that added to the atmosphere.

I was looking for East Midlands, but then I realised that I caught the earlier tour in June, not the final one.

If ever one video told us the Cold War is well and truly over, that was it. Loads of solar farms, car parks and housing estates. Fortunately it didn't end up in a smoking hole, going the way of most flying war birds. Good while it lasted. :D

How did a bunch of old men, in the name of charity, manage to persuade so many to pay for the flying jollies of so few? :E

Possibly because the pleasure/entertainment provided by having a Vulcan back in the air wasn't confined to those on board ?

There's nowt so queer as folk.

I believe the music ruins it - because of the music I can't see it. Can't see as in blocked in Denmark! :'-(

I enjoyed the video very much. While stationed at Lakenheath/Mildenhall in the 1960s, I was able see several Vulcan operations. What a beautiful airplane, and even more so in flight. The video was great, except that it did not show the landing.

Cheers,
Grog

Days of future past... In the period '64 to '66 I had a great time servicing those as a young airframe mechanic on my first posting after training.
