Help with Understanding an Abbreviation in a Unit's ORB

Hi Folks. I have a person in an RAF unit's ORB who was posted 'on becoming M.E. sick'. Does anyone know what this means please? I've looked in several reference books and online with no success..... Thanks, Andrew
