1980s BA Operations ex ABZ
 

Can anyone provide any information on BA schedules out of ABZ in 1987, specifically to and from BHX?

As a child my first flight was in April '87 out of ABZ on, I think, a BA 1-11 with a stop at MAN on the way down. This would have been early-April departing ABZ in the late afternoon / early evening and I'm trying to establish details of flight number, aircraft etc.

The return flight was on a 748 and stopped at EDI en route to ABZ.

Any detail on schedules and flight numbers for April 1987 would be greatly appreciated!

According to the BAA Airport Timetable 01July-31October 1987 :

Aberdeen-Manchester BA.872 1750/1850 and Manchester-Birmingham 1910/1940 BAC 1-11
and
Birmingham-Edinburgh BA.5684 1255/1415 and Edinburgh/Aberdeen 1435/1515 HS748.

April schedules probably the same.

Many thanks for the details. I have been trawling the web for copies of the old BAA timetables - I used to have a collection of these from 1994ish onwards but these were "misplaced" during a house move some years ago unfortunately.
