RFC Loose Leaf Note Book

My son has a hardback "Ideal" RFC notebook for a 2nd Lieutenant S. Hawke with entries on ring sight deflection, Synchronised Constantinescu operation, Aerodrome rules, general flying, Photography, Bombs, Bomb sights, RAF 90 HP engine,Beardmore 120 HP engine, Clerget 110 HP engine, Vickers light automatic machine gun, Stirling wireless transmitter among other subjects. Written in ink in neat handwriting and hand drawn illustrations on most subjects with several pages each. This pilot died in the Spanish Flu epidemic after the war. His father was the vicar of Par, Cornwall.

It would be great to see a few scanned pages, if that's possible.

Very much depends on the author's RFC service: the more momentous the more monetary value. TheBay has featured similar listings so I'd suggest a search of Completed Listings to see prices. My guess would be circa £100, but depends on content too: these hand-drawn notes are often very well done and it surprises me they don't sell for more.

I don't recall the OP saying that the aim was to monetise it.

There are also a number of interior cockpit photos in this collection.

Not so I'm afraid, the only photo is of 2/Lt Hawke.
I must also correct something I wrote. He died BEFORE the Armistice not afterwards.
(I have only just learned that the pandemic did not in fact originate in Spain.)

Even more reason to post some scanned pages, then.
