DHC Beaver in Malaya,`50s

My wife grew up in Malaya, and remembers going to a rubber plantation festival/party `in the 50`s.After ,as they`d arrived by boat, they were flown back to Penang by a Beaver; she thinks the pilot was Danish, wealthy, possibly the plantation owner/manager.
I know there were at least a couple of Federation Air Services Beavers,VR-RBS/9M-ALS,and VR-RBW/9M-ALW, ,but wondered if there were any `private` ones operating there.

Other than VR-RBS/T/U/V/W, the only other Malaysian registered Beavers I'm aware of were 9M-AXD/E, but those were in the late 1970s.

Are you sure they were Malaysian? Or did you mean the British Army Beavers that operated in Malaysia?

Thanks DR;checked on the dhc-2 site,RBS/CN137/RBT(140),RBU(142),RBV(144),RBW(146),all had silver /white schemes, which is what SWMBO remembers..-RBU was burnt out after a fire started one night, believed to be by a person nicking fuel ,as it was parked outside for an early morning departure. The other 4 are still flogging around or being rebuilt, from Aus to Alaska..
Army Beavers were all camo`d as far as I recall.
Can`t find any info on Federation Air Serviceswhich may have migrated into Malayan Airways later..
Thanks anyway..Syc...

British. The AAC were still running them when I was at Changi in '69-'70, but yes, they were all dressed out in camo.
