Thanks for that clarification and for the extra message!

Interesting what you say about the Viscount, because I 'remember' taking a Decca navigator pack out out to a Viscount, on a remote stand, ready for departure to Jersey. However, he didn't wait and went without it.

However, I thought I would try and verify my memory was correct so checked Google images for Viscount flight deck with the Decca fitted; couldn't find a single one, so assumed my memory was wrong. Thanks for re-affirming it wasn't.

McO , to reaffirm your memory , 2 'fotos of BEA , ex-BEA Viscs. Early with Decca Nav. Later , either minaturised or taken out leaving panel . Incidently 'foto source , says that is Capt Stan Key with Yuri [ Trident Staines ]

The Decca Navigator panel is on top of the normal coaming .

DRUK, Thanks for that , a Decca made Doppler as to a Decca made , Decca Navigator ! It also may explain the rumour of a misorder for 737-200s of an helicopter one valid only to 300 kts ..
