There can't be many aviators who have flown an aircraft that's more than 6 times their age, let alone on their first solo.

From an outsider's point of view - if you can Solo in a stringbag, tail dragging 'kite'? Then you should be able to drive anything! No power assist, no fancy guages, no electronics = fantastic.
