FW190 Bucks today?
Hi all
I was in Easington (nr Long Crendon/Thame) this afternoon, maybe between 2 and 3 pm, when I heard, then looked up, and saw what appeared to be An FW 190. Heading roughly towards Didcot (can see the cooling towers very clearly from here) Are my spotting skills way off, or could this be possible? Or something very similar that I haven't considered Cheers T O F |
AFAIK, there is only one airworthy FW190 in the world, and that's with the Flying Heritage Collection in Everett, Washington (Paine Field).
There are, however, several WAR FW190 replicas (approximately half-scale) flying in the UK. |
More likely to have been the Yak 11 from WAP. It was flying around that time today and heading in that general diretion

Awesome, thanks guys
Had my suspicions when looking at the rake of the back of the V/S. Bit stupid because I've seen the Yak team a few times |
Half scale reproductions.
Only half-scale, Dave Reid?
You need to inform You about the german Flug Werk reproductions! Something for the eye: Fw 190 Update December 2011. :: Classic Aircraft Photography, Air To Air photos taken by Gavin Conroy. |
Only half-scale, Dave Reid? Don't blame me, complain to these guys: http://www.abpic.co.uk/images/images/1176924M.jpg WAR Aircraft Replicas Home |
