A blast from the past!

This is a stunning post! How did they get all those rare, captured German A/C over to the US so quickly? Great to see - and combined with a Glenn Miller soundtrack - PFM

?

Just coming to the end of reading 'Wings On My Sleeve' by Captain 'winkle' Brown and I was surprised by the amount of Luftwaffe a/c that were captured and then flown by him in the UK, so soon after the war. The USA obviously had similar opportunities,

ps Great music

ABE Books are a good source for this first edition.

The star of the show for me was the B-32 Dominator. The song ' I'll be looking at the moon and I'll be seeing you' must have been penned by the world's worst astronomer!

' I'll be looking at the moon and I'll be seeing you' must have been penned by the world's worst astronomer!
"There was a young lady from Flint,
Who had the most terrible squint.
With one of her eyes,
She could scan the whole skies,
While the other was reading small print."

Lear, I think.

Enough thread drift. 10:38 of wonderful and rare footage. I wonder what became of the captured aircraft. It would be nice to think they're all in a museum somewhere, but I doubt it.
