Bristol Fighters?

Approx 15.15 28-06-14 2x Bristol Fighters and an Auster over Halstead in Essex. Any info on either the aircraft or their destination? Travelling roughly NE. Been a good summer so far, early mark Spitfire with black and white underside couple of weeks ago and a Hurricane to the south last week or so. Plus Catalina on 15th June.

I think you'll find they were the two replica Be-2s that have arrived from New Zealand (in a container) and are going to be based at Stow Maries airfield in Essex. They had a Fly-In on this weekend I believe.

Thanks. Be2c would have been my next guess. Where is stoke Marie's?

Just my luck; I live near Halstead and missed them. Ref your query; Stow Maries is between Maldon and South Woodham Ferrers, and I believe is preserved almost as it was in WWI.
Here is the link. FOSMA
