Bullseye & Muffle
I was recently shown a log book from an operasting cre member at Marston Moor ocu during the war. Two entries referred to "H2s Bullseye" & "H2s Muffle". I am familiar with the ters H2S and Bullseye , can anyone define the term "Muffle" please

I would guess it means to temporarily suppress transmissions in case the enemy use them to home on the aircraft.
