For those interested David Beaty's wife wrote a very detailed and interesting biography about him - "Winged Life" by Betty Campbell Beaty.
It has all the details of his career and when the books were written.

As It happens, I also have a book by Betty Beaty; I'd often wondered if she was related to David.

It's called "Maiden Flight", and published by Mills and Boone; which sort of tells you all you need to know about it!
