A tribute to Nordair
I never worked for Nordair, but I knew more than a few people who did. Four short videos about a great company.

pigboat,
I never flew Nordair, but I have some experience of Arctic operations in the 70s. Very nice, nostalgic images. |
Just watched them - some great shots.
Nordair sure had a great history and some great folks working for them. |

My tribute.
I Thought you might like these Photos. I took them at Fort Lauderdale in August 1985, enjoy.
Plus some info. about the Aircraft C-GNDS, Very active life, last know with the Indonesian Airforce http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/t...psedd9c9f0.jpg C-GNDR named "Terry Fox" after a young cancer sufferer , with one leg, who started a "Marathon of Hope" run across the country. Made it three quarters away across but things caught up with him and he died in 1980. The Aircraft also wasn't so lucky, crashed in Feb. 2005 in Afghanistan with the loss of 104 souls, operated by Kam-Air. http://i611.photobucket.com/albums/t...ps0a3d0b93.jpg OPF |
Nordair search
This is a long shot, but.... I am wondering if anyone is in contact with a former Nordair pilot, John Parkinson. I believe he continued his career with Air Canada before he retired. Parkie flew with my brother, Captain James G. Ferguson. Bruce Lothian also flew with these Nordair pilots. Circa early 1980s.

Nordair Pilot / Canadair Test Pilot
Long shot, my father was first a Test Pilot with Canadair in the 50's then pilot for Nordair until 1968. We then moved from Montreal to Toronto. His name was Lester G. Benson. Not sure sure if anyone would know him as it was so long ago.
