Can anyone identify this Marconi radome?

Missile Radome | eBay

I'm hoping this link will work, it goes to an item I just purchased on ebay.

The radome is actually roughly 52" tall and 20" diameter. At the base there's a metal ring that sat inside whatever this was part of and I'm guessing it was attached by small bolts.

It comes from a area what a lot of the Bloodhound missiles were based but it looks too stubby to have come off one of those.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm planning to make it into a display cabinet but don't want to start hacking up something that might have any collector value.

I think it's from a Thunderbird, the Army's Bloodhound. Lots of pics via Google.

The ebay ad described the item as "used", and suggestions here are that it's from a missile, so how come it's still in one piece? Do missiles reverse into their targets these days?
