Wisley history

I am interested in the history of Wisley airfield can any Pruners out there recommend any specific sources? Vickers had a big part to play in the history of the airfield but what about before that? And what is left there now apart from OCK VOR/DME?

I suggest you go back two or three weeks. This was the subject then.

Loads on this at the start of this Forum -worth doing a search.

Anybody want to meet up there one day to walk whats left of the runway and taxiways? Follow up with pub lunch in Ripley?

Just a thought since mention of Wisley seemd to generate so much interest before.
