French Hunter
I was ferrying a classic yacht from St Tropez to La Ciotat yesterday (in the way one does). Lunchtime, passing Toulon, just opening a decent bottle of red, when a Hunter T7/8 flew past about 100 feet up. It was painted pale blue above and white underneath, and disappeared in the direction of Hyeres. Anyone know WHIH?

Probably Apache Aviation flying from Istres Le Tube AFB.

Thanks for that. I thought I was seeing things.
The Hunter still remains the most enjoyable aircraft I ever flew; nice to see there are a few still around. |
Sure is a beauty.:ok:
I really miss the Thunder City activity here in Cape Town. |
Odd that the "French" Hunters pictured on the link are registered in Canada ...

Yes, I was also surprised to see they were on the Canadian registry. I wonder if they have a Uniform on the fleet as well as Whiskey ;)
