So,if we go NW,would that be `better`...?

JENKINS 25th Nov 2018 12:44

With reference to Sycamore down the back, in my time I was the 'Last of The Summer Wine,' pedalling like mad to keep my slot behind, I think, Clementine.

No - NE would be better.

I have identified the bombers.

JENKINS 25th Nov 2018 15:12

North East as far as Vozdvizhenka?

dook 25th Nov 2018 15:14

:D

Lights, music - you're on next.

JENKINS 25th Nov 2018 15:49

Thanks, the shape of the Hardened Aircraft Shelters sent me that way, but would have been quicker if my Russian was better. Siberia, bit cool. Now let's go travelling again. My visit here pre-dated the large new terminal, and my machine was man-handled into the sole remaining parking slot on the small apron. Occasion a local VIP wedding, many there and a chum from RAF days was sent to cool his heels many miles away.https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....08568d1986.jpg

This might take some time...…….

JENKINS 25th Nov 2018 16:34

So let's start. Sycamore and one not often seen in this parish, Brakedwell, may have an interest in local political divisions.

India Four Two 25th Nov 2018 16:52

Are we in “The Southern Gates of Arabia”?

JENKINS 25th Nov 2018 17:43

'Fraid not. The author was quite a character don't you think?

India Four Two 25th Nov 2018 19:11

Major thread drift here! Freya Stark certainly was an amazing character. Travelling unaccompanied, with local guides, from Mukalla to the Hadhramaut, in the 1930s.

In the early 90s I was on a seismic crew on the plateau that she traversed en route. I read her book after I returned and found that I could identify which geological formation she was crossing on her journey. Amazing observational and descriptive powers!

My mode of transport was an Aerospatiale Lama, which was a big improvement on her four-legged transport!

Spain somewhere ?

JENKINS 25th Nov 2018 19:23

Not Spain. Since Wales won yesterday, my charity goes so far as to declare 31 there first, more or less.

dook 25th Nov 2018 19:32

31 ? Fivestar squadron - I was part of the outfit on Jaguars.

The star of India - but that's not where we are.

JENKINS 25th Nov 2018 19:35

Aren't we?

dook 25th Nov 2018 19:45

Sod it...….:ugh:

dook 25th Nov 2018 20:26

Somewhere in the north west ?

JENKINS 25th Nov 2018 20:35

No, not up there. This city has considerable Hindu significance.

dook 25th Nov 2018 21:17

On the Ganges probably.

Night night.

JENKINS 26th Nov 2018 08:53

Not up there either. Lovely day here. To get closer, look at postings of Brakedwell, study his likely squadrons, and that will bring you closer. Sycamore should take the hint, but I stress simply 'closer.'

Spicejet on approach as I write.
