Treadigraph has it: glad it caused some amusement. It one of just seven Helio H.500/U-5A Twin Couriers. My kind of aircraft. :)

Can I ask how you guys generate silhouettes? My software doesn't seem to do it

Quemerford 22nd Mar 2020 09:03

I use Paintshop Pro and blow up the image, drawing round the edges and colouring in the centre. It takes a while to do it! I'm not aware of a short-hand way but maybe I've been making things difficult for myself. Making the image more "contrasty" helps when using 'fill'.

treadigraph 22nd Mar 2020 09:22

I actually thought it might be some version of the Stallion, never heard of the twin Courier.

dook 22nd Mar 2020 09:46

Asturias,

I use Adobe Photoshop, probably the best of all. but expensive. I am fortunate that I did not purchase mine because it came with my last job.

The "extract" facility allows an object to be removed from its' background and superimposed on another, although so far I haven't used it here.

Asturias56 22nd Mar 2020 09:52

I've got a load of drawing programmes bought for work but not Paintshop regretfully...................

dook 22nd Mar 2020 09:54

The tool I use the most is the clone stamp which is useful in removing registrations and other incriminating evidence from a photo.

dook 23rd Mar 2020 09:48

treadigraph,

Since you have the thread, do you have anything ?

treadigraph 23rd Mar 2020 10:58

Ooops, my apologies, thought I had appended Open House after my last comment.

Careful!! Not too much enthusiasm or we'll have the mods back!!!

dook 23rd Mar 2020 18:57

Let's keep this thread going as well.

Quemerford 23rd Mar 2020 19:23

Something venomous?

dook 23rd Mar 2020 19:50

Not that I know of.

Self loading bear 23rd Mar 2020 20:33

I think it is the Legend of Performance Aircraft.
There are multiple versions
- Legend
- Turbine Legend
- Venom (military , but yet unsold?)

The slight slope/knuckle before the stabilizer seems to be the Non-turbine Legend?

correction: there is no knuckle
(that is the left elevator)
so is the Turbine Legend

dook 23rd Mar 2020 20:38

I'm afraid not.

treadigraph 23rd Mar 2020 20:40

Pereira GP-4 was my first thought but it doesn't look quite right.

dook 23rd Mar 2020 20:42

Good try but no.

Self loading bear 23rd Mar 2020 21:10

Millenium Master?

dook 23rd Mar 2020 21:21

The challenge was much earlier and single seat.

Auxtank 24th Mar 2020 18:20

1970's/ 80's prototype British?

dook 24th Mar 2020 18:26

Late 70s.

Not a prototype, but only two or maybe more made.

Not British.

Kit.

Auxtank 24th Mar 2020 18:34

2-seat side by side?

dook 24th Mar 2020 18:36

dook 25th Mar 2020 19:18

With many people isolating themselves I'm surprised there have been few questions.

American
single seat
supplied as a kit which is no longer available
first registered 1978
two registered with the FAA - both registrations later cancelled
probably no examples exist today

Auxtank 25th Mar 2020 19:32

You don't think it a tad too obscure then...

dook 25th Mar 2020 19:43

You mean like the Dabos-Masclet JDM Roitelet on the Flying Machine thread ?

Auxtank 25th Mar 2020 19:50

Fair point.
I'm annoyed that Asturias has posted something tricky on Which Aerodrome - can't get a handle on it whatsoever.

Also, a bit of cabin fever.

Thank God the Gov in it's wisdom had seen fit to classify Off-Licences as Essential Supplies.

Self loading bear 25th Mar 2020 22:38

Airmotive EOS 1
I did an google aimed at aerofiles:
aerofiles 1978 = 1pClwM POP: 2 kit
but this one is not listed in Aerofiles and came up from Wikipedia.

dook 25th Mar 2020 22:46

Bear gets a gold. :D

Your stage.

treadigraph 25th Mar 2020 22:52

Blimey, certainly have seen a photo of that in the past but would never have got the name! I was just looking at the Google library in old copies of Flying....

dook 25th Mar 2020 22:55

Good 'ere innit..

Self loading bear 26th Mar 2020 08:02

Now an easy one.
This 100% for sure NOT generated in Flightsimulator:
As being easy,
exact type, registration and photographer.

dook 26th Mar 2020 10:31

Do you want the type of tyres as well ?

Self loading bear 26th Mar 2020 12:23

If you can proof type tyres and profile thickness as used during this flight I will hand out the bonus points again!

Quemerford 26th Mar 2020 18:05

Photographer: Roger Bishop
Date: 5 October 2016
Location: Los Altos, California
Aircraft: Mooney M20K
Registration: N231KD

Just a guess; I may be wrong.

Self loading bear 26th Mar 2020 18:13

Quemerford
has it to the detail.

I have another classic Moonshiner
for a later date

dook 26th Mar 2020 18:35

I'll get one ready as well.

Quemerford 26th Mar 2020 18:45

OK try this one:

https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/pprune....e077098e21.jpg

dook 26th Mar 2020 21:39

Designed for competition ?

Quemerford 26th Mar 2020 22:16

I don't think so. Will check for sure.
