HP Hastings Air Pubs
As it was 44 years ago, think that I can be excused for not remembering. Has anyone a lead on the AP series for the HP Hastings, particularly the Vol No. which covered the fitting/refitting of an aileron. I'm writing a little account of an aileron change in the field, carried out under some difficulties, and would appreciate a pointer so that I can try to obtain a copy of the relevant part of the AP for reference.
Thanks in advance, PMs welcome. LXXIV |
Bit of a long shot but I recall that some time ago I looked in a second-hand book shop in Cromer, and there was at least one Hastings tech publication amongst their stuff, but I couldn't tell you any more than that. Might be worth looking through the phone book for second-hand book shops in Cromer (I think there must be two at the most!) and give them a call?
Or how about Harry Fraser-Mitchel at the Handley Page Society? |

Tim and bral,
Thank you both for the leads. I had of course thought of the RAF Museum, but counting on the wide span of knowledge available on this forum, thought that there might be a quicker way. I will let you know if I have any success. Thanks again LXXIV |
Have you tried these guys? They have a Hastings which they look after very well. I'd say there's a good chance they have the manuals.

forget,
Thank you for your advice. Mike Smith at Newark has just replied to my email and is going to photocopy the page(s) and send them. Amazingly quick response, thanks to all. LXXIV |
