Marshall MA-4 Boundary Layer aircraft
 

Trying to obtain plans,drawings of this aircraft . It was a redesigned Auster AOP.6 with an increased wingspan. It had a wing full of tufts and perforations for boundary layer work by Marshalls of Cambridge. During test flying it crashed in 1966 with the sad loss of test pilot Brian Wass and his observer.Any drawings,plans gratefully acknowledged.

Hello T-21. No plans etc I am afraid, but just to say the MA-4 was the Auster T7 prototype, VF665. I remember seeing it at Cambridge in August 1958

Thanks Laurence,
My late father paralled Brian Wass thru RAF training in Rhodesia,then 203 AFS Driffield on Meteors and No.92 Squadron at Linton. The MA-4 was a tricky aircraft to handle and definitely a one off hence difficult to find details apart from contacting Marshall's archives.

Thanks for the plan and photographs gentlemen. The MA-4 had a very cramped cockpit for the pilot and observer and looks highly modified. The main airframe was in a orange finish . Were the cowlings,spats and wingtips in yellow ?
