Victory Show 2010 cancelled

Just got this sad email from the organisers
many will remember the infamous black buck bombing run recreation by XH558 at the 2009 show
sadly for whatever reason this years show is now cancelled. also being posted by others on the military forums as well

To Whom It May Concern

We regret to inform you that the Victory Show 2010 at Cosby in Leicestershire has been CANCELLED.

As the organiser I would like to thank all of you who have supported our show over the years, without you all there would have been no show at all.

I applogise for any dissappointment or inconvenience caused.

Warm regards

Steve Pepper

Why "infamous"? Did it catastrophically fail?

Nice to see the linked video was taken by someone on the roadside who had obviously not paid to see it!

Bl**dy freeloaders!

Don't want to spoil things, but I thought that "Black Buck 1" dropped the bombs from about 12000ft.
Not sure how this simulation represents that attack!

Yes it did, it also dropped live ammo.... neither of which is acceptable at an airshow :ugh:

It was a really bloody superb show and supported a good cause :(

Ah yes
poetic license. without which most airshows would have been unables to recreate battle scenes but hey if it gives a chance to show off XH 558 and entertain thousands, who cares
afraid it applies to most recreations be it aviation, rail or whatever due to space and prcaticalities not to mention safety

Anyway, the cancelation is now on the victory show website
