Bruntingthorpe Vickers VC 10

Go into Brunters on a regular basis, took this on my last visit, spares recovery well under way. Returning soon for more of the same and maybe a Nimrod as well?

Am I imagining things or are the cockpit windows extremely similar to those on the Vanguard?

There is a similarity, but I wouldn't say that they are 'extremely similar'. See below for comparison.

Since the fuselage cross section of the VC-10 and VC-9 are the same and they came out of the same factory, it is no suprise that they are similar.

I don't know if they are really the same. They look similar but the ratio of fuselage radius to floor width is not the same. Also the nose profile is different, the Vanguard has more a Roman nose.
