Ditched A/c Off Lincolnshire Coast

I am interested in finding out about what various A/c ditched off the Lincolnshire Coast.

Mainly the Mablethorpe, Trusthorpe, Skegness, Wash area.

I have found out about the many 'Frightenings' from Binbrook that came to a sad ending there.

But would like to know what else is on the seabed, And if any have been located etc.

Thanks For Any Replies.;)

Would an Auster qualify?... though I doubt whether you would find anything on the sea bed. The Auster in mind crashed and was not ditched.

Ditched Aircraft

I recall reading of quite a few WWII aircraft that ditched in the area, mainly Allied bombers returning from Ops.

There are many listed in the excellent "Bomber Command Losses" series of books by W. Chorley. It is just a case of reading through and finding them!

Binbrook was of course a big Canberra base' for many years. The Air Historical Branch may be able to help?
