Thanks for that; I've just got in and was about to query that!

I was also going to ask; are we looking at a parasol-wing, or a biplane cunningly hiding its upper wing behind the lower wing and is it a single or two seater?

I know I've seen that U/C before, but where

evansb 19th Jan 2011 18:53

Renard R-31 ?

one11 19th Jan 2011 19:07

Not the Renard , parasol wing, not a single-seater.

one11 19th Jan 2011 19:57

1st clue - This was a one-off development of a type that had a short production run. The production model had several features not present on this variant. Back in about an hour , cheers Doug

evansb 19th Jan 2011 20:05

Henschel HS.122a ?

Noyade 19th Jan 2011 20:41

Morning gents!

I'll follow Bri's lead and try for another German Doug, the Dornier Do 22L.

Cheers
The Master Of Confusion
Graeme.

Two in a row to Graeme as far as my challenges are concerned

Dornier Do 22 - recon, torpedo-bomber

The Do.22L one off landplane version of the Do.22 seaplane, whose silhouette would have included a fin extension as well as the floats.

Control to Noyade

Are accountants expensive over there? Ours charged about $110 for me and my wife last year.

Noyade 20th Jan 2011 05:34

David, thanks for the e-mail camera tips! :ok: We went out and bought a "High Speed Card Reader".

So I thought I'd share this with you. Julie took this photo at the Melbourne Zoo. I'm sure you recognise the critter....
