Yes I do mate, see Pages 1219 & 1388
The former one is not on Mel's list, and the latter is not yet covered (a June challenge).

Very interesting though. I looked back to the discussion at the 1388 post, and see that I had exactly the same process as then. I even went this time, too, to see the Irbitis…. And I was sure I had seen it before ;).

Found anything yet RD?
Naw. Went leisurely through the Breguets and made some coffee. Trying to wake up…..

You should be in bed at your age......
Naw again. Going to bed in my age usually brings nothing.

Afternoon all,

Hurried lunch break!

LM, is your challenge a Dufaux, possibly a No4 ?

Haven't got any time to pursue it further as I'm back into the workshop now and may not get back 'til this evening, so Open House please if correct, Sorry :)

Edit: changed my mind over number to 4 (2 'twaz the photo No on the page :O)

Seeya. gotta go now!

Lightning Mate 1st Aug 2011 14:19

Built by the Swiss brothers Dufaux 1909.

Designed as an observation aircraft but was not deemed suitable as a military machine.

The Dufaux 4 it is. :D

TC has requested Open House.

A Coanda thingy that has nothing to do with Mr. Coanda, nor with Bristol?

HappyPass 1st Aug 2011 21:45

Evening.
Browsing the Samoloty.
Something to do with Bertrand?

SincoTC 1st Aug 2011 21:48

Hello Reg,

Sorry to disapoint! Nothing to do with Mr. Coanda, or with Bristol.

Edit, evening HP, it's on more than one site, but has nothing to do with Bertrand!

HappyPass 1st Aug 2011 21:54

Jourdan Helioplane monoplane, France, 1910

Yeah, I could also search elsewhere, but that one's reliable ;)
...and I've learned to scan it real quick :8

Now I think I'll go to bed, pretty heavy workload these days...
OH please.
See ya.

SincoTC 1st Aug 2011 22:00

You have indeed!:D 'coz it is the French Jourdan Helioplane monoplane of 1910 :ok: No record of it having flown, but a similar craft with a slightly smaller duct, did fly in 1912.

HappyPass has requested an Open House

Goodnight mate, sleep well! You too Reg, otherwise you'll have your wingman after you :=!!!

RegDep 1st Aug 2011 22:01

The Samoloti and that one you are referring to I am a bit tired to look through every time, even if I know a way to get a scan pretty quickly. Same goes for Breguet.

Not taking away anything of your victory, just speaking of myself, HP. Well done :D:D:D

EDIT: I don't have a wingman, I am the one for Mate.

Good Night!

SincoTC 1st Aug 2011 22:04

I stand corrupted, no make that corrected! Good Night Reg :ok:

How's things with you Martin :), hot and crowded?

Off to bed myself now, cheers!!
