Eastern Stearman

Iv'e just finished reading a great book about the Boeing Stearman,by Jim Avis and Martin Bowman.A company that restores Stearmans,Eastern Stearman,is mentioned in the book.Does anybody know if this company still exists or if they are still operating out of Swanton Morley?

Eastern Stearman went bust some years ago. As far as I know the owner, Jim Avis, is no longer restoring Stearmans.

Swanton Morley also closed a couple of years back. It is no longer an airfield and the hangars are now used for storage.

Black Barn Aviation at Priory Farm, Norfolk, restore Stearmans (see Martin Shaw on Discovery channel) - maybe they could answer your query.

Happy New Year.
