Canadian Jet Airliner
Greetings
Does anyone out there have any info about the four engined airliner built in Canada in the 1950's? I seem to remember that it was Avro or Canadair built and was a "one off". Contacts via the net or published titles would be much appreciated. Rgds. FPG. |

Many thanks for that. The interest came from a Bush spoof sent to me with a super below and from the left side of the machine in a climbing turn. The paint scheme being polished alloy ans yrllow. Best rgds. FPG Correction should read, Polished alloy and yellow. FPG |
On 10 December 1956 the Jetliner was ordered destroyed, and after contacting the National Aviation Museum turned up no interest in obtaining the aircraft due to a lack of space, the Jetliner was cut up on the 13th of December 1956 with only the cockpit section surviving. |
Looks very similar to the Avro Ashton...
