More Shuttleworth Collection Twilight Display Photos (19/06/2004)

Having watched the weather forecasts like a hawk for the past few days I took a chance and decided to go to Old Warden anyway. I'd have kicked myself if I hadn't because it was a splendid afternoon and evening made all the better by excellent company and superb flying.

I'd had the focus adjusted on my 10D during the week and I was eager to find out whether it had made any difference. I'm chuffed to bits with the results. PM me if you'd like to know where I got it done.

Enough chat, here are the photos.

Excellent photos

Well, I think I can safely say that Damien B and Man on the Fence have got a worthy rival - these are excellent images.

I especially enjoyed the head on image of my latest acquisition, the Ryan PT22 .

All the best

Thanks very much for the compliment Hairyplane.

When you place such photogenic planes before our lenses, it's difficult not to take good photos of them.

I owe a great deal to Nick and Damien for helping me to select the correct kit and for dispensing tips and inspiration.

All correct except no.5 is the Desoutter ;)

Duxford_Eagles 28th Jun 2004 13:56

Vintage ATCO, would you believe me if I said that I intended to type Desoutter, but it somehow came out as Deperdussin?

It's strange, since I usually struggle to remember the name of the Deperdussin.

TYVM - only 2 wrong - and to think that my memory is only a memory..............

Duxford_Eagles 28th Jun 2004 15:45

Hairyplane, I'll bring a print of the PT22 photo along to the next show for you.
