Carolyn Grace
A woman has died and her passenger injured in a two vehicle crash at Goulburn last night.
The crash happened at 6pm (Friday 2 December 2022), when a grey Suzuki and a silver Hilux ute collided on Middle Arm Road.
Officers from The Hume Police District attended and found a 70-year-old woman driving the Suzuki had suffered critical injuries. She was airlifted to The Canberra Hospital where she later died.
Her passenger, a 38-year-old man, was taken to the same hospital with minor injuries.
Two men in the ute, aged 44 and 30, were not injured.
The older man, who was driving the ute, was taken to Goulburn Hospital for mandatory testing.

Sadly confirmed by daughter-in-law Daisy Grace on their official Facebook page.

Deeply saddened to hear this news. I have very fond memories from around 25 years ago of sitting out in our garden in West Sussex watching, and listening to her putting ML407 through her paces. I knew the maintainer at Goodwood, who helped look after ML407 then, he was kind enough to allow me a close look around, and sit in her, one evening. Never forgotten those times, thought she did an absolutely magnificent job of keeping her late husband dream alive.
I was cheeky enough to ask her if I could have a jolly, once. She smiled, agreed, but said it would be wholly unofficial (I think ML407 operated under a PtF?) and that I'd need to cover the cost of the fuel. At the time I just couldn't afford it, as that aeroplane drank fuel like it was going out of fashion. One of my deepest regrets that I didn't scrape the money together. Still, she left very fond memories for all the people like us, living South of Chichester, who had a free air display time and time again.

So sad to hear of Carolyn's death. I first got to know her when planning the 50th Anniversary of D-Day Flypasts over Portsmouth and Normandy, when I learned that ML407 got the first kill of 6 Jun 44. After some tuition for her in flying in loose fighter formations (fighting wing), I included her in a formation of 4 early on the day and watching the 4-ship race down Portsmouth Harbour was great to watch. Subsequently she gave me a memorable flight in ML407. She will be long remembered.
