Well done Chevvron - High Ercall it is. I feared you might be on the trail when you mentioned St Athan - do they have type K Hangars there too ?

It was those 3 parallel 'L' types; I've driven past them!!
Had to be an MU and it was spread out like the area connecting St Athan and Llandow which had a 'mix of 'K's and 'L/Lamellas'.
Open house.

I don't think we've had this one before
Getting back to the veiled aircraft at High Ercall, I’m guessing a Beaufighter with an early ASV radar, although I haven’t been able to find a picture of a suitable array that matches the shape under the veil.
The shape looks much more like a Lichstenstein array than any British radar I can find.
OK, belay all that gibberish above. If I had bothered to follow the 1456 Flight clue, I would have guessed Turbinlight Havoc!

Chevron is correct - this is not the UK - it was being extended when the picture was taken
A very long way from Honiara
Americas definitely - but a very big stretch to say Central
Yes in the Land of the Free indeed and the Home of the Brave - but it's a big place
There are also many big trees East of the Rockies - which is where we are here.................
It's not a very big place but is active

No but getting closer

Lets try another

Asturias can you give an indication of other clues can be found in your photos?
I have compiled the following:
Not in Iowa and probably north/east of Iowa as Iowa is closer than the Rocky Mountains.
Runway probably 60ft wide, and extended (in the last decade?)
Nice looking hangar, probably renovated (re-cladded, new door)
Self serving avgas station
Home? of a Cessna 172N Skyhawk II with a 1978 striping pattern.
Perhaps right beside water landing.
I have trawled through thousands of Cessna but only one with a matching pattern is a Cessna currently for sale in Australia.
I trawled through hundreds of red hangars but apparently nobody proud enough to post it on the internet.
I searched for excavator / runway but no succes.
I have the idea others have lost interest.
