Which Aerodrome Mk IV
Sorry Old Boy I took it for granted that you would search in Norway for the WW11 Memorial. So please do......... With regards to The EU we are talking about the present as it did not exist (indeed it was just the opposite) in the period concerned. We are looking for what is now a derelict aerodrome.

I know where the memorial is and the related history. What I can't do is find any airfield around there that fits the bill. There must be some clue that I'm overlooking. Will think about your latest post though. Once I tracked down the location I found your photo of the memorial.

Thank you Noyade. I've only ever seen Sarajevo a couple of times from 30-odd thousand feet
I've got a nice photo for you all but unfortunately my left click isn't working, meaning I can't crop out any incriminating evidence.
Open House.

Doubt this will last long................
Long way from Ohio
No longer in use
Reminds me of a BoB Open day at RAF Waterbeach in 1951, to which I cycled from Cambridge as a 10-year old because I loved aeroplanes; unfortunately the Meteor 4-ship aerobatic display team had a collision during a team roll, with fatal consequences. It was my first, but not last, lesson that aircraft will bite. Those 4 don't look like Meteors, though, so it's a long shot.
I'm out tonight - post vaccination life!!
As ever Bear is correct - Sunderland as was, Nissan as is
