An easy one for you guys!
Folks... can anyone tell me the details/reg etc of the Tiger Moth that spent its final days with 86 Sqn (Heston and Isleworth) Air Cadets at their HQ in Hounslow? It was there up until about 1970 when the Sqn moved to anew location and the airframe was scrapped.
I thought I would be able to Google it but alas not.

According to the book Veteran and Vintage Aircraft (4th edition) 1974.
Hownslow ATC Sqn reported to have Tiger Moth EM697/6940M.
Probable Typo as it should read EM967 - EM967 survived to become G-AHOO
So If this is the correct A/C - it survived to become G-AHOO.

As you can see on this last thread there is some doubt as to whether it is the original Tiger Moth, or whether that one was broken up. Maybe a major rebuild. It's amazing how broken up aircraft can be reborn from their ashes.

'Wrecks & Relics' (third edition - May 1968 ) also has it EM967/6940M. However it's not mentioned in the first or second edition of that book, nor in 'Cadet Corps Airframes'.
I was a member of 86F ATC squadron from 1966-1969. Situated behind Hounslow East tube station. I remember a link trainer we had there but don’t remember the Tiger Moth. However looks like a good rebuild.
P.S The F in 86F stood for a founding squadron when the ATC was inaugurated in around 1941ish
