An overnight charge sees the little Darlin' cross the International Dateline via Nome and currently at Anadyr in Russia.

Motored on a bit via several stops in Russia, landed this morning at Sapporo on Hokkaido in Japan just as Australia beat Fiji at the local stadium. Some maintenance coming up next apparently.

Beautiful aeroplane but looks totally out of its element at a large international aerodrome. How do they keep the coolant temperature down with a long taxi like that. Also as much as I support these things they are a pain in the arse for ATC and Commercial traffic. Several times in the middle of the Pacific I have had to act as a relay for various singles plodding along at very low levels. Always have my admiration but they are very exposed if anything goes 'sudden twang'. Still life is all about risk. Good luck to them.
Website hasn't been updated for weeks: still showing Kelowna on 5th September as last stop and anything else as 'TBC'. It's up to them what they do I guess, but if anyone wanted to see the aircraft I imagine they wouldn't have a clue.
I hope that they have done their homework regarding China. Their visual route has them; Japan-South Korea-China-Vietnam but their written route is; Japan-Taiwan-Hong Kong-Vietnam.
The Chinese government may not be receptive to the aircraft taking that route even though it has been used many times before by Trans-World small aircraft and the situation in Hong Kong is an ideal excuse.

Now just arrived at Pasni from Karachi. Presume the next leg, perhaps today, will be across the Gulf of Oman to Muscat.

Airborne again, heading out across the Gulf of Oman.
Edit: Just landed at Abu Dhabi. Over 500 miles that trip with a bit of a kink to avoid Iranian airspace...

After a night in Kuwait, G-IRTY is currently some 600 miles further west and heading towards Eilat which I reckon would be around 800 miles...
Edit: at Eilat, apparently a total of 720nm - longest leg by quite some way.

Back in Europe - arrived at Heraklion yesterday and has just set off northwards - looks like they will island-hop their way up to Athens.
Getting close... I was planning to try to catch it at Amsterdam, but I wonder if I'll be able to. Mind you, they would be well advised to land somewhere else in The Netherlands, as the landing fee at EHAM is not very GA friendly. Then again, this particular Spitfire spent quite some time in the Aviodome there, so a return visit would be fitting.
