G-IRTY has cracked on this evening and just arrived at Kangerlussuaq on Greenland's west coast, making up a bit of time for the weather delays at Lossie and Reykjavik. I assume they aim to cover the 350 odd miles to Broughton Island tomorrow, weather permitting. Then the next leg to Iqaluit perhaps, less than 300...

A tad under 400 miles to the next planned stop at Kuujjuaq Airport across the Hudson Strait, about two hours. Plenty of daylight left but Windy showing rain on the south side of the Strait so maybe they'll wait for better weather tomorrow.
I see they finally got away from Iqaluit, but not before a couple of orbits to gain some altitude.

Change of plan it seems... Stopped at Schefferville, then SW to Chibougamau where they've just landed - presumably a night stop - 300 miles to Gatineau where they were due to stop for 4 nights.

Not a night stop, G-IRTY's airborne again and en-route Gatineau...
I hardly think that those behind the flight can be held responsible for FR24's inability to draw a Spitfire outline. 
I agree, but what I was referring to is that in order to get the correct generic SE icon, the onus is on the operator to register all the aircraft's details with FR24. I would have thought that the organizers of this expensive advertising stunt would not have overlooked this small detail.
While I agree that it's unreasonable to expect FR24 to have a separate icon for each of 3,000-odd ICAO designators, I wouldn't have thought that it was beyond their wit to maintain a lookup table that would allow at least assignment of a generic icon that corresponds to how ICAO categorise a given aircraft (of which there are only a couple of dozen common combinations), for example "light single piston-engined fixed-wing".
Anything would be better than showing G-IRTY as
for want of a little bit of common sense.

I only know about this issue because I recently uploaded data to FR24 on behalf of a friend whose Arcus M motorglider was also showing up as a twin jet. FR24’s explanation and the data required can be viewed here:

Well, made it to Gatineau! Apparently it should have been there Tuesday for an appearance with the Sparrows... ah well time and inclement weather wait for no man...

A week on and G-IRTY has stopped at El Paso to refuel, en-route the next night stop at Nellis. Weather has forced a complete change of US stops to those originally envisaged and the team have spent a couple of nights with Comanche Warbirds in SW Texas.

Now spending four days at Everett for a 50 hour check. Arrived via Mojave, Santa Rosa and Madras (the other one).

Off again already, crossing back into Canada, Kelowna, Williams Lake and a night stop at Fort St John.
Made it to Santa Monica yesterday afternoon, leaving for Mojave on Saturday.
Matt Jones had flown in WP833 as a cadet when she was based at Exeter. Thirty years later he got to fly her 'proper'.
