1% of responses are actually answering your question. My question is why do you want to know the number of aircraft? Why not ask the number of flights or the number of different types of aircraft? Why the number of aircraft? What do you hope to glean by your question, other than concluding that people generally answer their own question and disregard your original question?

My answer to your question is approximately 185.

What are you trying to prove evansb....?? The OP provided a list of types so not too surprising others followed suit....

Down the back. I was going to GK for a meeting and hitched a cheap day return ride.
Amused to hear the "Enemy coast ahead" call on coasting in!

Given that the OP answered the original question by listing aircraft types (rather than the number of aluminium tubes s/he has actually sat in) I think it's safe to assume that s/he wanted the number of types. Unless, of course, you are suggesting that the OP has only flown once on each individual type listed (possible, I grant you, but unlikely).

Which would support my contention that we could all remember the detail of one-off or few flights with specific detail where we made many flights in one type.

Islander Inverness to probably Glasgow and no idea why, but being walked to the aircraft, door opened, stepped into seat, hostess handed me a Scotsman (no sniggering please), and returned to the terminal.

Just to be reprehensible: these lists are the equivalent of saying I sat on this train or bus. I accept that if one actually piloted an aircraft that would have some kudos, but to list the different cars, buses, trains, trams, taxis, (and for the dinosaurs out there), planes one had travelled in as a passenger seems somewhat precious and, to be honest, rather naff.

Vickers Vicount when I was six years old was my first flight. DC-6 on the way back home. Then I decided that I wanted to be a pilot. I was more impressed with the Vicount. Those big windows. 54 years ago. I have flown all of the Boeings except the 777 and 787. And the DC-8.
I am not sure which I love more, the DC-8 or the 747. As a passenger I have lost the count.

I have flown in never more than one at a time, on numerous occasions.

About a year ago I took my first flight in a CS300, now the A220. A dozen days after that, I took my second flight in a CS300. I believe I flew POSH, or perhaps it was the opposite. Either way, it was a scheduled airline flight, I was a passenger, I was given a sandwich and beverage, my seat was reasonably comfortable, the temperature and humidity were within specified limits. As far as it being an accomplishment, I can state categorically that I bought my ticket and found my way to the appropriate gate on time. I doubt that's going to win me the Harmon Trophy, however.

HQ, spoil sport. Perhaps better in history and nostalgia, it was a good brain exercise and brought memories back of some memorable flights.

Three Egyptair flights in May 1973 were particularly memorable. One, our luggage followed by a separate flight. The airfield was a military one as the civil air port was closed. Fascinating seeing all the Soviet kit burning and turning, ADA pits all fully manned.

The next where we all trooped out to the aircraft. They counted the pax stopped us with an arm in the middle of a family. Like a bus, the aircraft was now full. They relented and let the others through.

Finally, on taxiing out, the aircraft accelerated, nose wheel unstuck, and then reverse pitch was selected before the pilot made a tight high-speed turn on to the runway and off.

I am sure these types of memories were rekindled by many.
