I think you are concentrating on the wrong detail.
You are looking at the whole dashboard.

I thought I knew a lot about military gliders, but I've just discovered the XLRA-1 and the XLRQ-1 amphibious gliders! One of those two?

It is not amphibious but this Glider never came beyond the X designation.
1&1/2 build.

1 built (and a half size scale model)
In the Netherlands a Belgian Coach is 12m wide and 3m long because all Belgians want to sit in the front...

I found it by making it brighter and looking at the name on the fuel selector at the top.

Re the Aeronca: I didn’t see the Aeronca symbol under the fuel selector until I had posted the photo.

if gone to huge lengths to manoeuvre the camera so that the column obscured the placard with the reg on it!

Will read its review.

Long way from a homebuilt though.

Designed for the military and the aim is to sell at below.$US20M per copy.
