Well, you guys are hot to trot on this one with spades at the ready, so I doubt it'll take that much digging, 'cos it has got three engines

Not american or from Junkers though

Have not tried Dutch yet.

Just had a thought - you said not Junkers but was it German ?

Well, I've looked at Fokkers.

edit: but I can't find that "swingover" yoke.

Yes indeed! It is the Pander S-4 Postjager, a one off fast mailplane, built in 1933 for the service between the Netherlands and the Dutch East Indies, but unfortunately it was destroyed by fire in India during the 1934 MacRobertson Air Race when it collided with a car while taxiing for departure, the crew of two escaped without injury!
