Ahh - the aeroplane itself turned up the the What Aircraft thread in the last couple of years
Most of us are in awe at the plush surroundings Bear flies in TBH

Long-time recluse here on What Cockpit, and new to "Name that Flying Machine"
I have a photo that crosses both boundaries, particularly with the Custer CCW-2 being shown above (Russian translation = Strana ? Date?).

I think the challenge is a Fairchild Ranger perhaps?

You can share your challenge at the first open house. If it is Related to the Custer you can share here directly. We are not that difficult about thread drift, but please state clearly “Not a challenge”
Dook had too much time on his hands and has been answering almost every challenge. The Mods were of the opinion that all Ppruners in all time zones should be allowed a fair chance so they applied some speedbrake rules.
These were repeatedly not followed by Dook so he got zipped back to zero post count (then the Mods have to approve your posts one by one)
Dook got enough of that and left.

"ps Whatever happened to Dook?" As Bear said - he seemed to get worse and worse - answering all challenges often within minutes of them being posted - obsessional - whereas of course this is just a passing interest to the rest of us

The Funk? And they built over 300??? My god......... and in Coffeyville Kansas - now that IS a quiet spot.
