Thanks for your patience Bear - always a learning experience here!
Gotta make it OPEN HOUSE - but I will look for something in the meantime.
Cheers!

No one seems to want to pull the trigger, so I will:

SIAI-Marchetti S.211

An interesting challenge. I had never heard of it before. When I saw the picture, I immediately thought G-91, but I knew we had had that before.

What do you make of this?

I suspect this aircraft was very expensive.

Amazing how something so crude-looking did the job!

Yes, very crude-looking, but in this case, form definitely follows function.

Not X rated? The most famous guy it damn near killed might disagree but then he was notoriously unexcitable.
God bless him.

I suspect meleagertoo has it. Why don’t you pull the yellow and black handle?

What a fantastic boiler-plate solution to a swiss-watch problem! I find the dichotomy between the backyard pop-rivet engineering of the LLRV and the LM incredibly exciting and inspirational.

The panel, especially the doppler(?) display and the pure 1960s strip gauges was a dead giveaway!

Onwards, Noyade!

Noyade has it - the LLRV.
