Loss of BAC 1-11 G-ASHG
On Sunday 20 October the villagers of Chicklade, Wiltshire will be remembering the loss of this aircraft and all its crew in the crash on 22 October 1963. We will be dedicating a memorial at the crash site listing all seven flight test personnel and having a short field service to remember them. Please let me know if you would like to join us. If you can come I will let you have more details nearer the time.

1-11 Memorial
I did indeed look at the thread you mention. The mix-up between Chicklade and Cricklade started me thinking about a memorial to the crew of 'HG. We now have generous backing from the industry and hope to have relatives of the crew with us on the day.

Hi LS,
The organizers are aware of the reg issue and will be changing it..
They knew the problem before the unveiling but it was to late to change it..
It was a remarkable effort by the villagers of Chicklade and the service on Sunday was a fine tribute to the crew..
Cheers
