Super Corsair crash, RIP Bob Odegaard
66-year-old Bob Odegaard died on Friday when his 1945 Super Corsair crashed at about 5:55 p.m. Odegaard was practicing for the Wings & Wheels Airshow scheduled to be Saturday at the airport.

That is very sad. I saw him at Oshkosh on all of my six visits. It's been a bad twelve months, Jimmy Leeward, Howard Pardue, and now Bob Odegaard. Iremember him and his son flying the DC3, 'Duggie' also. One has, occasionally, to question whether people stay on the Airshow scene for too long???.

It is sad and I agree with JEM60. People of a certain age should not perhaps subject themselves to the higher g numbers seen at air displays. It used to be said that flying is a young mans game, and there seems to be a great degree of sense in that. Reactions also invariably slow with advancing years.
