Which Aerodrome Mk III
Hmm - I posted a question yesterday which hasn't appeared but seems to be irrelevant after the second image
It is Nadzab (AYNZ) the replacement airport for Lae which was originally built in WWII and then rebuilt by the Australian government in the 70's. Just a pity it is so far out of town.
Open House (once 24 hours is up).

Yes. It is Nadzab.
I thought Chimbu Warrior might come out of the jungle for this one. (halo wantok!)
This airport replaced Lae in the precious challenge.
Modern progress decrees that you can't have a convenient runway in the middle of your town or city; it has to be miles away!

Alas neither of the two suggestions altho they both have merit. Chevvron is somewhat closer and KP's is closer to the landscape
Regretfully incorrect tho' Bergen has many similarities.................. the gliding club here has been around for a long time - at least 50 years IIRC
