Which Aerodrome Mk III
Thanks Nvubu,
I am not to far into the WW1 airfields but the aerials were quite distinctive.
You were right to put the other photos first.
What is the first photo supposed to camouflage?
Now this one
Sadly only a Google overhead to show but got the remainder completely within the name of the game:

Yes distinctive and still recognisable today. The photo doesn't have a title, just a number as it's description, but I think that they are the gun butts for testing the machine guns.
I'd hazard a guess that your challenge is a fly in community in the USA?

Fly in community; perhaps
private: certainly

Sounding like a politician Bear - ... east of London ?? or East London in South Africa? there are a few fly-in communities around that part of the world
Kwelega Road Airstrip 32 54 07S 28 02 55 E
think i got in by 60 seconds......................
The name of the strip that Asturias found correctly,
Can be found in Google earth/ maps when you zoom in to about East London area and search for “airstrip”
I was hinting on Whats landing.
Next episode of Which Aerodrome is for Asturias to fill.

Let's see - a change of location I think - the scenery is nice but not a major tourist location.....................

These days things aren't as frantic as a couple of years back JD. It is a mountain range but it's not the Caucasus quite a ways from there. A couple of scheduled internal flights a day but quite a few private/charter movements
No not in Africa.
The place has I'm sure produced many famous sons & daughters but there's only one who might be recognised on here - and not by name but by the tune wot he wrote (and that's probably only an older subset of PPrune)

Spanish is one of the languages spoken here Bear although they do also speak a local language
It isn't Mayan nor in C America. Unfortunately, due to local history, it doesn't really attract many people who don't have to go there
The song referred to above is over 100 years old and has, more recently, a (very tenuous link) to a UK railway station via the USA
