Here is a read only link to the Aerodrome Database - WhichAerodrome.xlsx. Up to date as of 1/5/2019. Catching up slowly - up to May 2019 now (Mar 2020).
Here are some "rules" for Which Aerodrome. These are based upon the original suggestions from the very first thread, and have a few additions. Also please be patient as when you are active others may be asleep.

Which Aerodrome Mk III
Thought it might be near Killeagh Co Offaly , where he was born but no cigar..............
Not a Greyhound and not contemporaneous with the airfield which closed in 1919. I think it's a long, long way from Killeagh(ary) - not that I know where Killeagh is !

I presume the golf course still exists? Looks like a links course, so by the seaside?

Good Hunch nvubu - Aldeburgh (Hazelwood) Aerodrome is correct. I must admit I had no idea until a month or two ago that there had been an airfield at Aldeburgh.
Putting a bit of flesh on the bone: RNAS Aldeburgh Night Landing Ground commissioned October 1915. Later (1918) RAF Anti Submarine Observers' School - closed 1919.

I believe there is nothing in the way of buildings on the former aerodrome to be seen today - the last, adjacent to the A1049, being demolished some years back. Buildings, building materials and plant (including a light railway) were auctioned off at the aerodrome on June 27th and 28th 1919. Many wooden building components including The Officers' Quarters were transported to Thorpeness Common where they were re-erected as 'The Uplands'. Time for a Snifter !
There was a nasty collision between two DH6 aeroplanes while air-testing on May 24th 1919 when three of the four occupants lost their lives.

Thanks - it was a pure fluke that I started with Suffolk.
Where was the first photo of the boating pond taken, as I'm fairly sure it isn't the current one.

Re Boating Pond - it was a postcard. Certainly not that of today. Looking at the scene I would guess that it was taken somewhere in the vicinity of where Aldeburgh Yacht Club is today i.e. south of the town and looking SSW across the River Alde. Cheers.

Got to post the photos that don't give much help at first so that it can't be solved too quickly - I'll post an aerial in a couple of hours.
The aerodrome was built in 1918, and I don't think that the Germans got this far west during WW1.

I thought I'd got it on the second picture but a close look at my image showed the hangars were a bit closer together..............
