It isn't Brittany either
And here's an aerial for you.
The road layout still recognisable - but a lot more built up now.
No more pics for a few hours as am off out this evening.

Was that hangar design British French or American? Seen in a number of WW1 images, starting with Rembercourt, which Wikipedia says was French until 2018, then US Army. But it was close to the German border so may not qualify for this challenge.
Edit: "Tent hangar", also "Bessonneau hangar" for what that's worth.

I'm not sure on the nationality of the Hangar design. It isn't Rembercourt although you are closer to the mystery aerodrome than Brittany or Normandy.
Here's a closer view of the hangars

I wasn’t even aware that I was moving at all.
This was 35 minutes North of Rembercourt. So probably South of R’court but still in northern France.
Hope it helps for somebody of the nightshift.
Nice challenge by the way.
Off to bed.

Yes, the troops are American.
Here's a better view of the aircraft.
2nd aircraft says "SOP" on the tail. Am just trying to organise a link to a larger version of the image -will be when I get home as I can't connect to my ftp site
Found another way - click here for an larger image
