Hmm... I was convinced it was a Bell X-1, but it seems the shape of the top of the fin is wrong and the nose isn't pointy enough... And are those intakes beside the cockpit? OK, not exactly a Bell X-1 then...

Perhaps a change of scale is called for. How about the Douglas XB-43 Jetmaster? More particularly the (possibly unbuilt) A-43 version with eight machine guns in a solid nose.

He said it was a project.

Therefore, in my book, it wasn't built.

I think it's something to do with quiet attack aircraft.
