Only just past 2200 hrs here Ken, but it's been a long day. Hopefully others will be along shortly to continue the search. Found one tricycle homebuilt biplane, but the cockpit joins the upper wing. I'll keep that for a future challenge.

Cheers/Night.

Your personal photo?
No - from the web
Aerofiles?
It's listed, but no photo
Tricycle biplane?
Yes - not too many of those around.

This picture was taken at Oshkosh in 1990 - which was a good year for this aircraft

See you've gone now - perhaps catch you in the morning

Afternoon Ken ,

That would appear to be the Panl Pan 1, powered by what was intended to be a vertically mounted helicopter engine!!

Close enough Trevor - I have it as the Panzl Pan 1 On the face of it an unusual choice for an engine, but the end result looks good - in fact good enough to win the EAA Champion Custom[Plans Built award at Oshkosh in 1990.

SincoTC has control

Thanks Ken; I didn't spot my typo, I'd been sodding around with different combinations after mis-reading the Aerofiles entry and goggling Panzi Pan for images without much luck, and then I noticed it was an L not an i (should have gone to heck savers) and finally dropped the z when I posted

Here's the next!

Looks a bit like a Grumman "Avenger" with the wings at about 10° folded. . .

In the very unlikely event - Open House !

Afternoon/evening Karlark.

The double-step reminds me of the Romano R-110, so I was thinking French?

Or Romanian
Or Hungarian

Or...

Yes , the SNCAO CAO-600 is correct, one prototype produced.

I didn't even have a chance to post up the rear view as a clue:

Noyade's control

edit; I'll be darned, greyfalcon is gone, hadn't looked there in awhile.

Thanks Karlark.

This is similar to your Panzl Pan Ken, but I'm not sure if it's illustrated on the net...

...but since I had so much trouble GIMPing it, I'm pressing on with it.

Hi Graeme....this looks familiar. I wonder if I've seen it in Janes? American? My first thought was the Durand Mk V, but not that. However it looks like a negative stagger along the lines of the Durand?

Just paying a flying visit to judge my Challenge, I've got a very busy day ahead and not sure when I can get back. Have fun with Graeme's bipe, a bit worried that he isn't sure if it's on the web though, 'coz he knows its name

Catchya later I hope!
