Hi Martin...yes Mexican sort of gave it away! It is indeed the IPN Tonatiuh. Designed to meet a requirement for a training/observation aircraft for the Mexican Navy, it first flew in 1982. Just 8 built.

Hello Evansb, yes, that's it .

I figured it needed to get on this list, as well as the Challenge list.

Your control.

Thanks Karlark. I initially thought your silhouette was the Myasishchev M-4/3M. Here is the next challenge:

Hi Ken. First thought was Mister Mulligan or some sort of Howard. But before I go further, is it American/USA?

1940's.
Do you mean during WW2? It appears to be a civilian light aircraft and I thought Europe was either being destroyed or making only military aircraft?

Or post War?

Yep, post WWII. Civilian aircraft, just the one built, and still in existance today.

I have absolutely no idea Ken, and your Mexican has shattered my confidence and sanity. Kept looking at it and it was screaming at me, "Auster AOP-9!" and I would scream back, "stop it, Ken said your not!"

Your latest now screams, "Howard!"

Cut back on the coffee?!

All part of my masterplan Soon I'll have you believing a Comet is a Boeing 707, and there'll be nothing you can do about it!!!
Your latest now screams, "Howard!"
The plan is already working!!! However, the aircraft is loosely connected to a not dissimilar looking American aircraft, that was used by the owner of the challenge aircraft pre WWII
