283/284 Squadrons WW2 Air Sea Rescue
Am researching for a second edition biography on my late father Flying Officer Arnold Divers NZ414601 who flew on air sea rescue on 283/284 squadrons among others. I am after info on his squadron mates/navs. Flight Sgts Eric Keeble and Ernie Smith, Morabito, Paterson, Newman to name a few - maybe from the UK but can't find any info about them. Yes there are some books by Norman Franks and there is another I found but its out of print I think. Also the segment by John Harris from the book called The Sea Shall Not Have Them. A movie too that is loosely based on these squadrons. My father is also mentioned and in Graham Pitchforks book. Let me know if you can head me in the right direction as I don't seem to be finding anything else online. Many thanks

283 and 284 Squadrons are frequently referenced with plenty of images too in Chapters Five and Six of Norman Franks' book 'The RAF Air Sea Rescue Service in The Second World War' Published by Pen and Sword 2016.

Have you thought about the Operations Record Books for the two squadrons, held by The National Archives at Kew. These are the primary records and many have been digitised and are available on-line if you 'join'
